MOAMA BOWLING CLUB WINTER BASKETBALL SEASON 2025 INFORMATION

We are very lucky to have the Moama Bowling Club sponsor our Junior Domestic Season.
Season starts week of Monday 12 May 2025
Semi Finals week of Monday 1st September 2025
Grand Finals week of Monday 8th September 2025
Age groups will be played on the following nights;
Monday Nights - numbers capped at each age group/Senior team - all times to the confirmed depending on numbers
Under 14 Boys East & West (Born 2013,2012) (4.20pm & 5.10pm TBC)
Under 16 Boys (Born 2011, 2010) (5.10pm & 6pm TBC) (Age group may be combined with U18s depending on numbers)
Under 18 Boys (Born 2009, 2008) (6pm & 6.50pm TBC) (Age group may be combined with U16s depending on numbers)
A & B Senior Men (16 years plus) (6.50pm, 7.40pm, 8.30pm TBC)
Tuesday Nights - numbers capped at each age group/Senior team
C Grade Men (16 years plus) - 7.40pm & 8.30pm
Thursday Nights - numbers capped at each age group - all times to be confirmed depending on numbers
Under 12 Boys Pevensey & Adelaide (Born 2014 & 2015 & 2016) (4.20pm & 5.10pm TBC)
Under 12 Girls (Born 2014 & 2015 & 2016) (6.00pm TBC)
Under 14 Girls (Born 2012, 2013) (6.50pm TBC) (Age group may be combined with U16s depending on numbers)

COACHING
Interested in coaching for the Summer season? We would love to have you! Please fill out the following Google Form to express your interest. It is very important that we have Coaches for our teams to ensure that all the players get on the court and are given the best opportunity to have fun. You do not have to have any experience, we just need upbeat, bubbly people making sure our kids on the court are having fun and have big smiles on their faces!
REGISTRATION CAPACITY
What we do if the competition reaches capacity? Athletes can be added to the waiting list via the following link only. Please do not comment on this post or DM the page to add your child to the waiting list:
JUNIOR UNIFORM
Singlets supplied by Echuca Moama Basketball Association when a $20 bond is paid (Round 1). Singlets returned at end of season and bond refunded. ALL players must have black basketball shorts (no pockets). Points will be deducted for all players out of uniform from Week 3. Pirate Shorts are NOT to be worn.
SENIOR UNIFORM
ALL players must have the same uniform. This includes short. NO POCKETS in shorts, no football shorts or lycra shorts. Teams will be given a grace period of they have ordered uniforms and have not arrived but must be approved by the committee. After Week 3, points will be deducted per item of incorrect uniform. Points per item out of uniform will be allocated to the other team at half time by the referee.
Senior teams will be asked to fill out an Expression of Interest Form to play in the Winter Competition. As we are limited in space, it will be first in best dressed to be offered a spot to play.
SCORERS
We rely on parents/guardians/supporters to assist us with scoring each week. Without the scorers games are unable to take place. Please support the committee by helping out scoring. If you need assistance in learning please feel free to speak to a committee member.
VOLUNTEERING
If you would like to know how you can assist us at Echuca Moama Basketball Association, please feel free to have a chat to one of the committee members. We rely on volunteers to make this Basketball Association the best one! It could be helping in the canteen, helping with distributing uniforms or being a presence for games. Let us know
UNDER 12’S BOYS AND GIRLS
ALL Under 12 age groups will have the following:
• 17 min halves
• 10 mins for half time for coaches to help players develop their skills. Referees will also be there to assist with teaching skills. If you need any drills please see a committee member.
We are hoping that this will be a positive move in our younger domestic kids and start to get them skilled up to play domestic and maybe representative basketball.
REGISTRATION FEES
Per player: $170 - this will be due when you register - Registrations open Tuesday 22nd April at 7.30pm
Insurance (If you are due it will prompt you when you register, $46 senior, $32 Junior) this will be payable if you are due for insurance when you are sent a link to register to your allocated team.

Once you have registered and have been allocated to a team by the EMBA, you will be asked to register your child to their team. This will ensure that their name will come up on the ipad each week for scoring.
